Silva decider continues City run

Manchester City ace Kevin De Bruyne is confident they can "dominate" Manchester United in this weekend's derby.

De Bruyne, who is suspended for the Shakhtar trip, said: "Our winning run is phenomenal and gives us a good advantage but we have a big week with Swansea and Tottenham following the United game".

The two City stars were influential in City's 13th consecutive Premier League victory in the 2-1 triumph over West Ham, which saw De Bruyne assist Silva's 83rd minute victor to help open up an eight point advantage at the top of the Premier League.

After United defeated rivals Arsenal 3-1 on Saturday, they cut the lead to five points, however City did not loose any points to extend their lead to 8 points again.

But goals from Nicolas Otamendi and David Silva secured another three points and De Bruyne says City's intense pass-and-move style is ideal for wearing down even the most defensive sides.

After some emphatic wins in the autumn, City have been finding the going tougher recently with West Ham the latest team to take Pep Guardiola's side to the wire.

It was the least City deserved for their second-half dominance but it left the Hammers frustrated after a hard-working display.

The offer, however, won't extend to items that have " use by " dates, which should not be consumed after the date has passed. Shoppers living in East Anglia can now buy dried foods and tinned products beyond their " best before " date, for just 10p.

De Bruyne said: "Obviously it's more hard when the other team has 11 behind the ball, it takes more time, but the late goals are evidence of them getting exhausted with the way that we play".

"I think the character has shown in the last games", he said.

Guardiola is expected to rest players ahead of Sunday's derby, but De Bruyne is already set to miss out on their midweek clash having incurred a suspension.

Silva was able to ghost into the right position because he knew the delivery from De Bruyne was coming.

"I'm disappointed that he's not playing next week".
