While Patriots coach Bill Belichick after the game said he didn't see much of the play and it wasn't something he could control, cameras caught him telling McDermott immediately after the game that Gronkowski's hit was "bull--" while apologizing.
After the game, Bills safety Micah Hyde called the hit dirty, saying he thought Gronkowski should have been ejected. Cameras caught the exchange... "I just don't understand why there wasn't a flag".
"Gronkowski should have been ejected from the game, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a substantial fine and maybe even a suspension", he said.
The NFL will take into account Gronkowski's immediate and full apology after the game.
