While Patriots coach Bill Belichick after the game said he didn't see much of the play and it wasn't something he could control, cameras caught him telling McDermott immediately after the game that Gronkowski's hit was "bull--" while apologizing.

New England Patriots All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski could be facing disciplinary action for his late hit on Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White during Sunday's game.

After the game, Bills safety Micah Hyde called the hit dirty, saying he thought Gronkowski should have been ejected. Cameras caught the exchange... "I just don't understand why there wasn't a flag".

"Gronkowski should have been ejected from the game, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a substantial fine and maybe even a suspension", he said.

The NFL will take into account Gronkowski's immediate and full apology after the game.

"It just happened naturally through emotion and frustrations". And then they don't call that on [White]. And they are calling it on me for the craziest stuff ever. It was just frustration.

"I can't, that could definitely hurt", he said. And over in the AFC, in addition to the logjammed West, the South could go down to Week 17: That's when the Titans and Jaguars play each other. "That's not cool. It's fantastic to me that you don't get ejected for something like that".

However, not everyone on the New England roster was happy.
