CBS Names Eve as Aisha Tyler's Successor on 'The Talk'

ET spoke with Chen about finding a new co-host in August, just several weeks after Tyler left the show, where she compared the casting process to speed dating.

Eve makes her official debut on The Talk on Tuesday, November 14th on CBS. She previously guest-hosted the week of October 30, and joins Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood. Although Eve now resides in London, the rapper turned actress says she couldn't turn down the opportunity, even if it meant moving across the pond to The Talk's homeland (Los Angeles). Two more albums would follow, as would a hit TV series, film roles ("xXx", the "Barbershop" franchise), a clothing line, endorsement deals and a Grammy in 2002 for her duet with Gwen Stefani, "Let Me Blow Ya Mind" - the first song ever awarded for rap/sung collaboration.

"The women were thrilled when they heard Eve would be joining the show and can't wait to start talking and engaging her in the conversation", CBS exec Angelica McDaniel, who oversees daytime programming at the network, tells Variety.
