Ronaldo is selfish: Benzema

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema compared himself with Cristiano Ronaldo, noting that the Portuguese footballer is more selfish, reported Marca.

The 29-year-old has not featured at worldwide level since being charged by police in relation to an alleged blackmail plot involving teammate Mathieu Valbuena two years ago.

Benzema missed Euro 2016 on home soil previous year as a result of his continued exile and he appears unlikely to earn a recall with les Bleus in time for the 2018 World Cup.

"It could be that, of course, there were stories before with the sex-tape affair and that could be it", he told Canal+. It's been two years that I've not been playing [for France].

"It's not a matter of calling or not calling".

"We get along well, I like to play with him. He is someone I respect, but he turned his back on me, it's hurtful".

The exercises will also involve 11 US Aegis ships and seven South Korean naval vessels, including two Aegis ships. The defector was taken to hospital after being shot by another North Korean soldier, the South's military said.

But he has hardly been missed by Deschamps who guided France to the final of Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup in Russian Federation. Of course, I want to, don't be silly. "I love football, I love these tournaments".

Benzema, who has scored 27 goals for France, last played for the national team in October 2015.

Whether Liverpool's hierarchy actually heed the call and take action against Owen remains to be seen, although if the discontent at his employment by the club continues to grow, they may be left with no choice but to part ways with him.

"I'm not a disrupter, but I have an image that is not good externally [away from the team]".

Benzema has struggled for form at club level this term, scoring just once in nine La Liga and Champions League appearances.

Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema have been ineffective for Real Madrid in the current campaign so far. "The relationship between player and coach is a complex one at the best of times, it is no exaggeration to suggest there is no such relationship between Benzema and the former Juventus midfielder", said the France global forward, according to the Express.
