Ellen Page Says Brett Ratner 'Outed' And Harassed Her At Age 18

The same day, Ratner filed a libel suit against Melanie Kohler, a former Endeavor Talent Agency employee who wrote a Facebook post alleging that he had raped her. Variety also reported on Thursday that Ratner and producer Russell Simmons were investigated in 2001 for an alleged sexual battery. Species star Natasha Henstridge has recounted how the director once forced her to have oral sex, saying, "He strong-armed me in a real way". At the time, she was only 18 years old.

The director has yet to respond to Ms Page's accusation.

She brings up in the men in Hollywood accused of sexual assault, like Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein, and those who were complicit in their actions.

"'You should f-k her to make her realize she's gay.' He said this about me during a cast and crew "meet and greet" before we began filming, X Men: The Last Stand".

"You should f**k her to make her realize she's gay". I am grateful to anyone and everyone who speaks out against abuse and trauma they have suffered. Goddard said that because Ratner was so important to New Line that she felt pressure to be polite with him.

"This public, aggressive outing left me with long standing feelings of shame, one of the most destructive results of homophobia", she continued.

Brett Ratner is one of the most successful film-makers in Hollywood and has produced or directed The Revenant, Jersey Boys and the Horrible Bosses movies.

'Furthermore, no woman has ever requested or received any financial settlement from my client'.

France Blames Iran For Yemen Missile Attack
The comments come in response to French President Emmanuel Macron, who said that there is a need to start negotiations regarding Iran's ballistic missiles.

Newsbeat has tried to contact Mr Singer, but he has not replied.

Anna Paquin, who also starred in the film, confirmed Page's story on Twitter.

Page also said that Ratner made degrading comments to other women on set, too. "I had yet to find my voice and was not who I am now and felt pressured, because "of course you have to say yes to this Woody Allen film".

One comment underneath her post thanked her for speaking the truth.

"I was there when that comment was made".

In 2014, Allen's estranged daughter, Dylan Farrow, accused him of sexually abusing her when she was a child in an essay for The New York Times. The actress wrote that she has experienced inappropriate behavior at several points in her career, including being touched inappropriately by a director at 16, being asked to sleep with a man in his late 20s by a director, and being sexually assaulted by a grip.

She condemned what she called the disproportionate impact of sexual violence on vulnerable people "silenced by their economic circumstances", and praised gay and trans women of colour, like writer Audre Lorde and activist Marsha P Johnson, who have fought against oppression but remain relatively unknown. "I want them to not have power anymore". I was young and although already a working actor for so long I had in many ways been insulated, growing up on film sets instead of surrounded by my peers.

Goddard said that Ratner's behavior stopped after she and the other assistants complained to New Line's HR department, and that it appeared the company had talked to him about the allegations.
