Rapper Fetty Wap was arrested in Brooklyn early Friday after racing another vehicle on the Gowanus Expressway while intoxicated, the NYPD said.
Thomas Antonetti tells the Associated Press that Fetty Wap, whose real name is Willie Maxwell, was spotted speeding on the Gowanus Expressway just after 1 a.m. and was clearly racing another vehicle. They say he was going north of 100 miles per hour in an 50 MPH zone as he challenged the other driver.
Wap, behind the wheel of 2015 Mercedes, was pulled over and handed the officer an expired New Jersey driver's license.

Other violations in Nebraska and Iowa since 2011 involve not keeping his driving log current and driving too many hours at a time. Lyft's website says potential drivers are screened for "driving incidents" but doesn't specify what would disqualify them.
He failed a sobriety test and blew.09 for blood alcohol content, which is just above the legal limit of.08.
Maxwell - famous for songs such as "Trap Queen" and "679" - was arrested on 15 charges, including DUI, drag racing, reckless endangerment, speeding and operating without a valid license.
Reports claim he will be arraigned in Downtown Brooklyn later today.
