Gran Turismo Sport Has Over 1 Million Players In Open Beta

Hamilton was left impressed by the latest in the series, Gran Turismo Sport, the first game from the 20-year-old franchise on the PlayStation 4 platform that is released next week. Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital has announced that Hamilton will lend his driving expertise to players to help them drive better. If you're using an LG display with reduced brightness when using the HDR game mode, GT Sport allows you to overcome this entirely, but really, every screen will benefit here in that you tailor the HDR level to best suit your tastes and the capabilities of your display.

We went for a drive in a beta version of the game that wasn't quite finished, and were surprised by how well its creators managed to integrate virtual reality technology that promises to be a game-changer. The game will also feature demonstration laps driven by the man himself. It's like a neat little time capsule that peers back at the series' humble beginnings, and then explores the evolution it's seen as it's moved up the ladder on PlayStation hardware.
