Trump urges quick confirmation for Homeland Security pick Nielsen


President Donald Trump has introduced his nominee for homeland security secretary. If all moves according to plan, she will be taking up the position eventually replacing John F. Kelly who has been serving as the White House chief of staff. Trump said Nielsen's appointment would make her the first former DHS employee to run the entire agency.

"I know you will fulfill your duties with dedication, determination and resolve".

"There will be no on-the-job training for Kirstjen".

Nielsen is a close confidant of Kelly and an expert in national security policy.
