Microsoft Edge for Android now available as a preview

Last week, Microsoft announced that it's bringing its Edge browser to iOS and Android, immediately offering a preview to users of Apple's mobile platform. The browser is still unstable and in testing phase but Android users can now download it from Play Store.

If you have recently switched to an Android phone, you should check out the Microsoft Launcher on the Google Play Store, the interface is however not as good as WIndows 10 Mobile but the overall experience is much better than any other launcher.

Before Windows 10, the default browser of Windows was Internet Explorer, Microsoft killed it when it launched Windows 10 but could not do well with Edge as well. In this early build of the mobile version, your favorites, reading list, new tab preferences, and reading view will all sync between PC and mobile. Microsoft Edge will pull up the reading and information right onto your screen.

The version of Edge for iOS was nearly immediately available through Apples TestFlight program but within just a few days that reached its limit of 10,000 testers.

I'm traveling today-I guess I really missed driving between Boston and Pennsylvania, so I'm doing it again for kicks-but I did download Microsoft Edge Preview on Android at a rest area in CT. It also has the ability to move the content you are reading on Mobile to your PC or vice versa.

The great thing about the Android version of Microsoft Edge is that there is no limit to the number of testers that can download the app for their devices. You should only download the browser if you are comfortable with a few bugs and crashes.
