Jason Momoa Apologizes for Rape Joke He Made Years Ago

Momoa is about to hit the silver screen as Aquaman in Justice League, but back in 2011, he was caught on video at a Comic-Con panel joking that he liked the sci-fi and fantasy genre because "there's so many thing you can do, like rip someone's tongue out of their throat and get away with it, and rape lovely women".

"Oh Jason Momoa, we were all rooting for you, and then you go and make a f****g rape joke", said a fan of the actor.

The clip is a recording of a panel discussion at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con convention, when Momoa joked that he loved working on sci-fi and fantasy projects because he got to "rape handsome women".

The clip in question is from the Game of Thrones Comic-Con panel in 2011.

"But as far as sci-fi and fantasy, I love that there's so many things you can do, like rip someone's tongue out of their throat and get away with it and rape lovely women", Jason said.

Police have called on the public to stay away from the area which is at the southern end of Four Mile Beach. Police have not ruled out finding Cameron alive and are still searching the area.

That now includes actor Jason Momoa, made famous by his role as the burly Dothraki lord Khal Drogo on Game of Thrones.

The clip comes after the opening of Hollywood's flood gates as women begin to speak out against men such as Harvey Weinstein and Ben Affleck, who have used their positions of power to abuse and harass.

Momoa will next appear as Aquaman in the upcoming Justice League film.

Momoa elaborated on the comments in an interview with the New York Post. I know my sincerest apology now won't take away those hurtful words. Emilia Clarke, the actress who plays the character that Momoa's character rapes on the show, did both.
