Navi Mumbai: Paraguay continued to shine and recorded their third win on the trot when they thrashed a struggling Turkey 3-1 in a Group B match of the Federation Internationale de Football Association U-17 World Cup here on Thursday. They had beaten Mali (3-2) and New Zealand (4-2). After scoring a goal, Paraguay players run towards a corner of the field, go down on their knees and point the fingers towards the sky.
With six points, Mali occupy second place in their group, behind Paraguay at nine points.
Thursday's game started in dramatic fashion with Paraguay earning a penalty in the first minute. At the beginning, Anibal Vega found his penalty saved by Turkey goalkeeper Berke Ozer in a big relief to his side. Giovanni Bogado, Fernando Cardozo and Antonio Galeano were on target to help Paraguay maintain their winning streak in the tournament.
Juan Penaloza who scored both goals against India in their 2-1 win, was Colombia's star here too with a goal and an assist.
