According Nation, the acting Police Commissioner Imohimi Edgal said this during a briefing Wednesday afternoon, where he noted that an autopsy was conducted revealing that the late Tagbo was suffocated, and he added that the singer has been re-invited for questioning.

The deceased was dumped in a vehicle in front of Lagos Island General Hospital. The DPO Lion Building who raced to the scene was able to identify the victim as one Tagbo Umeike from the worldwide passport found in the victim's vehicle.
"To be objective and verify facts, I called for a pre-investigation meeting in my conference room".
"Shortly, thereafter, you are all aware that one Caroline Danjuma, an actress and the victim's fiancé, published on her Instagram page that her boyfriend died in the company of friends amongst whom was one David Adeleke, a.k.a Davido".
"The meeting confirmed that the deceased Tagbo Umeike on that day, met and had drinks with friends at Shisha Bar amongst whom was Davido. He stated that he was only informed by some mutual friends of the victim's death at the DNA club".
He also said the CCTV footage at the hospital captured the entire activities and that the vehicle was subsequently recovered from Davido's residence.
The CP promised to update members of the public on subsequent findings of the police investigations into the matter.
