On the other hand Gujarat polls will be very important for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) because after the grand victory in 2017 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh the stakes are very high and 2019 Lok Sabha elctions will depend a lot on 2017 Gujarat assembly polls.

Himachal Pradesh has 68 seats and is governed by the Congress. If sources are to be believed the Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh will be held in single-phase. Elections in Gujarat in 2012 were held in two phases on 13 and 17 December 2012 respectively.

The poll panel, for the first time, will also introduce all-women polling stations in Gujarat in all assembly segments. And BJP is campaigning against the corruption as the Congress has announced the Virbhadra for the CM face of Himachal Pradesh who have some corruption charges on the head. The Himachal Lokhit Party had won 1 seat while Independents bagged 5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun campaigning for his party in his home state and visited it last week.
