Paul Pogba stepped up his return from a knee problem as the Manchester United record signing trained in Miami on Tuesday.

The France worldwide has been absent since September 12 after suffering a hamstring injury in the 3-0 Champions League win over FC Basel.

Pogba posted a series of videos on Instagram on Wednesday, which showed him jogging on a treadmill and working in the gym.

I'm no physiotherapist or doctor, so I cannot accurately tell you whether the exercises Pogba is currently going through are standard for this stage of rehabilitation, or whether the 24-year-old is now actually ahead of schedule and could be set for a return just before the November global break.

Pogba has made six appearances in all competitions so far this season for United, scoring two goals in the process, with Jose Mourinho having previously suggested the 24-year-old would be out for the "long-term".

They report that sources close to the club have told them United "could hire a running coach to adjust the Frenchman's running posture".

The club are also going to ban Pogba from playing basketball, one of Pogba's favourite pastimes.
