Timothy Salyers, 27, and Brianna Hook, 22, both of Indian River County, were at home watching the Green Bay Packers play the Dallas Cowboys and made a bet that the fan of the winning team would get to burn the losing fan's jersey, according to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office.
At the hospital, deputies spoke with a couple who admitted they were watching the National Football League game and agreed to burn the losing team's jersey.
A witness told Sebastian Daily, "He was set on fire after losing a bet on the Cowboys game ..." What the wife didn't see coming was that her husband would try to put the flaming jersey back on while it was still on fire.
Andy Cohen Replaces Kathy Griffin as CNN New Year's Eve Co-Host
CNN announced Griffin would be fired from her hosting gig nearly immediately after the fake, bloody head photo went public. It's official: Andy Cohen is joining Anderson Cooper as co-host of CNN's New Year's Eve special this year.
Silyers told a deputy he grabbed the jersey with his right arm and attempted to put it on while it was on fire.

A Florida man was burned more ways than one on Sunday.
When his wife's team, the Packers, won the game, the man went outside and lit his jersey on fire. There are plenty of people who make bold bets and refuse to follow through when the result doesn't go their way, but not this guy. That's loyalty if I've ever seen it.
