Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie leaves Giants facility, will be suspended

There's a lot going on in East Rutherford.

Collins and Shepard have ankle injuries and both are listed on the team's injury report.

But no reason was given for Rodgers-Cromartie's absence, even though he appeared to come up limping in the fourth quarter of the Giants' 27-22 loss to the Chargers.

New York Giants head coach Ben McAdoo said Wednesday the team will suspend Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie after the cornerback decided not to take part in practice.

The issue remains controversial, with some safety advocates saying the industry is pushing the technology forward too quickly. The regulations are expected to be set by the end of the year and approved by the DMV early next year.

The Giants, who were considered Super Bowl contenders entering the season, are off to an 0-5 start and have been hit by a rash of injuries.

The Giants have had some concerns with their cornerbacks within the past week. He then left the facility. "For that, we'll suspend him". There were also many issues with star receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. before his injury. Ross Cockrell entered the game when the Giants used their nickel sub-package, bumping Rodgers-Cromartie back inside.

McAdoo responded to the idea that he lost control by saying he was not really interested in what people think.

She later got another statement from the cornerback that clarifies the situation a little more. As Jenkins and Apple established themselves as the top two corners, Rodgers-Cromartie was relegated to a slot role in sub packages. Apple vented to reporters after the loss to the Chargers about "the whole culture" of the Giants. With him suspended, an incredibly banged up Giants team will have one fewer competent body to put on the football field every week.
