Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Halloween Event Is Going on Now

Participating in the event can earn players Halloween-themed loot, free giveaways, double XP, a new zombies mode, the Carnage multiplayer map from the Retribution DLC pack, and so on.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is, perhaps a little prematurely, deep in the throes of the spooky season, having kicked off its "Willard Wyler's Hallowe'en Scream" celebrations yesterday. These cosmetic items will be given away for free every Friday until the end of the event and while the event has already started, the Boss Battle mode will only be available starting on October 13th.

Players of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare can now enjoy the seasonal, Halloween-themed event, called Willard Wyler's Halloween Scream.

There will also be free Halloween-themed supply drops each week, and some of the new holiday gun camos look pretty cool. It'll kick off with the first chapter, Zombies in Spaceland, and features two chapters per week, culminating with The Beast from Beyond. The following day, developer Infinity Ward will introduce Boss Battle mode, which allows players to jump right into battles against the final bosses from the various Zombies DLC chapters. This game mode allows the player to use gestures to humiliate and annoy opponents, such as pointing a finger to shoot someone.

After a somewhat unsuccessful foray into the future, the next and imminent Call of Duty instalment will return to World War 2.
