Johnny Depp introduces himself in new Murder on the Orient Express trailer


The preview shows a dozen or so passengers trapped in a snow-grounded train after a murder has occurred on board.

When 20th Century Fox first announced a new, big-screen interpretation of Murder On the Orient Express, Agatha Christie's classic whodunnit of 1934, Ridley Scott (Alien: Covenant) initially flirted with the director's chair, before Kenneth Branagh ultimately landed the coveted gig. 20th Century Fox has debuted the second official trailer for the new remake (or re-adaptation) of Murder on the Orient Express, the murder mystery set on a luxurious European train. Academy Award victor Penelope Cruz plays Pilar Estravados, Academy Award nominee Willem Dafoe is Gerhard Hardman, Academy Award victor Judi Dench portrays Princess Dragomiroff, Academy Award nominee Johnny Depp plays Ratchett, Josh Gad appears as Hector MacQueen, Derek Jacobi is Edward Masterman, "Hamilton" star Leslie Odom Jr. plays Dr. Arbuthnot, Academy Award nominee Michelle Pfeiffer portrays Mrs. Hubbard, and Daisy Ridley plays Mary Debenham.
