With Bradford ailing, Vikings bring up QB Kyle Sloter

The Pittsburgh Steelers followed tradition by going into Cleveland and beating the Browns in the season opener.

Sources told ESPN that Bradford underwent an MRI Tuesday on his left knee.

Despite how horrifying (and typical) that sounds, the Vikings do sound like they believe Bradford will play Sunday, so it can't be THAT bad.

"If he gets protection he can be as accurate as anybody I have studied", ESPN analyst Jon Gruden insisted during Monday night's broadcast of the Vikings' 29-19 victory over the Saints. The Minnesota offense erupted for 470 yards and the defense held its own against Drew Brees and the Saints. While Le'Veon Bell looked rusty after holding out until a week before the game, Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown picked up the slack.

"Once upon a time when pigs spoke rhyme, and monkeys chewed tobacco, and hens took snuff to make them tough, and ducks went quack, quack, quack, O!" They passed 36 times and ran it just 17.

First things first, the offensive line has to play better.

Also impressive in the win over the Saints was the performance of the Vikings defense. Brown caught 11 passes for 182 yards in week one and has four straight season of catches at least 100 passes.

If that doesn't happen, this is a game the Steelers can lose.

"It's just fun to be back around my teammates", Bryant said after Friday's practice.

Wentz's ability to escape and create - shown off during a nine-second scramble drill to set up a 58-yard touchdown pass to Nelson Agholor on the Eagles' opening drive against the Washington Redskins - had some of his teammates comparing his improvisation skills to Michael Vick. The Steelers had 13 for 144 yards.

"Me personally, I feel like I'm going to do it", Dupree said.

"Convert third downs, flip the field in some instances". Despite being a rookie, Dalvin Cook did an great job last week picking up blitzers as well as becoming a safety valve out of the backfield. "Those guys get paid, too, and there's a reason those guys are on your team, and there's a reason that they are who they are and are drafted and all that". "We've seen it during OTAs".

With that injury lingering throughout the week at practice, there's become increasing concern that he might not be able to play against the Steelers.

To add on, Pittsburgh defenders struggle against tight ends.

Vikings Pro Bowl cornerback usually works from the right side of the Vikings defense, with the exception of the games where he shadows a team's best cornerback.

However, the very accurate passer in Bradford has had multiple injuries that have derailed his promising National Football League career coming out of Oklahoma.
