Roadside bomb explosion kills official, 5 police in northwestern Pakistan

The deadly explosion occurred in the town of Mamond, some 25 kilometers from Khar, the major town of Bajaur, one of the seven tribal areas in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), on Sunday.

He said a four-country group including Pakistan, China, the US and Afghanistan could be expanded to include other countries with influence over the Taliban.

Asif also said that Pakistan would reproach the US for its new Afghanistan policy at the United Nations General Assembly next week, saying "the Trump administration is following a militaristic approach and that policy has already failed".
