Carrie Fisher's Daughter Almost Played Rey in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

"There's no way to really explain it", she said after DeGeneres noted how hard it must have been to lose her mother one day, and grandmother the next.

Fisher died of cardiac arrest on December 27, four days after experiencing a medical emergency during a transatlantic flight from London to Los Angeles.

Billie Lourd, the daughter of Carrie Fisher and granddaughter of Debbie Reynolds, calls their deaths "impossible to deal with".

In addition, she revealed that she is very happy she managed to appear alongside Fisher in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Her lack of experience, and perhaps the fact that she isn't exactly the spitting image of her mom may have led to J.J. and his crew ultimately deciding on Daisy Ridley for the role of Rey, whose parentage remains a mystery heading into this Holiday season's sequel.

David Beckham not involved in wife's work
And it seems like Victoria Beckham is certainly living up to that as she has just explained her daily routine - and there's just so much to it.

"He ended up finding Daisy Ridley". The minor part also kicked off her acting career as she went on to star in Scream Queens, and now in sister Ryan Murphy series, #AmericanHorrorStory. And here, Billie Lourd recalls the moment when she was called in by the director. But I went in and he ended up giving me this tiny role with a couple lines. The release of the film will surely be an emotional event for Lourd, considering it's so close to the one-year anniversaries of the losses of Fisher and Reynolds, and that it will mark only the second and sadly last time she will appear in a film with her mom. Billie admitted that her mother didn't initially want her to become an actress. "I came home [from set] and my mom said to me, 'You know, this is really weird that you're comfortable here, '" Lourd said. "If you're comfortable here, you should do this. You should act'". She says this about playing Lieutenant Connix.

"I'm a big believer of things happening for a reason and I think I ended up on that movie for a reason", Lourd said.

"I got a lot of goddesses", Lourd said before opening up about the reality of living without the two stars.

"She always takes over any talk show in this really aggressive way, so kudos to you", Lourd joked.
