Army helicopter crashes in eastern Ladakh, all safe


An Indian military helicopter crashed in Indian-controlled Kashmir on Tuesday, causing no casualties, local media reports said.

The Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the Indian Army was involved in mishap that happened at Tsogstalu Helipad. The agency also reported that the senior commanders were onboard and all crew members were safe after the accident.

14 Corps Commander Lt Gen SK Upadhyay and General officer commanding 3 Division Savneet Singh were onboard on the Dhruv aircraft. All on board the chopper, including 2 top officers, are safe.

The Army has ordered an inquiry into the whole incident to find out the reason behind the crash.
