LG V30 Flagship Phone Priced At $750 According To Twitter Contest

Cho Jun-ho, the head of LG's mobile division, introduces the company's new V30 smartphone in a hotel in Berlin on Thursday.

In addressing these particular capabilities, Juno Cho, president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company (KRX:066575), said, "With its F1.6 Crystal Clear Lens Camera and Cine Video mode, the LG V30 is designed to help create professional-looking content without professional-level complexity".

With no pricing available for the V30 as of this time, it's hard to say if the new phone will be worth the price. LG calls its new display design "FullVision", which is also reminiscent of the Infinity Display on the LG G6. The V30 are its sophisticated audio and its dual rear camera set-up.

Thanks to the number of leaks building up to the IFA reveal, the LG V30 doesn't have many surprises in store, but that hasn't stopped us going hands-on with the device. LG also has yet to announce a price for the V30, although rumors peg it to be around 800,000 KRW in South Korea (which equates to about $699 in the U.S.). Hinting at the difficulties involved in producing the LG G6 with its near bezelless LCD screen, LG's Lydia Lee told me that "with P-OLED we can easily make the shape of the design, and we can make the bezel about 3-4mm smaller than before".

Wild West weather has California baking: The Weather Channel
The weeklong heat wave generated by high pressure over the West extended up the coast and into the mountain states. The weather service said Friday on Twitter the mercury hit 'an incredible 106 degrees!' shortly before 4pm.

LG fans are definitely in for a surprise because the LG V30 features several exclusive commands in Google Assistant. But if you want a sturdier device, the V30 should be your choice.

Both blowers sport a mighty screen, with the V30 only slightly enlarging the original phone's 5.7-inch panel to 6-inches.

The latest Snapdragon 835 SoC lies under the hood, along with 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB internal storage. The LG V30 also supports Dolby Vision and Google's Daydream VR.

You'll find dual cameras here, something LG has been dabbling with for some time, with both as 16 megapixel standard camera and a 13 megapixel wide camera, letting you pull back just a little further. Other features of the phone include a fingerprint sensor on the back, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth, NFC, and WiFi as the primary connectivity options. On the front side, the LG V30 sports a 5-megapixel wide-angle (90-degrees) camera with an aperture f/2.2. It means the camera will be able to capture more light than others and take outstanding pictures in low-light conditions. You also get a new Point Zoom tool for smoothly focusing on a certain area.
