Manchester United are not interested to listen to any offers for versatile forward Anthony Martial, as they feel he is a vital cog in their side, and manager Jose Mourinho hopes to get the most out of the French worldwide.
RMC Sport correspondent Mohamed Bouhafsi reported on his personal Twitter account that Tottenham have tabled an offer for the 21-year-old but Jose Mourinho's side emphatically knocked back the possibility of the forward moving to north London.
Martial's future with United remains in doubt after he was an unused substitute during last week's Super Cup defeat against Real Madrid.
Although Mourinho has insisted on numerous occasions that he intends to keep the French global at Old Trafford, it hasn't stopped some reports this summer that he could be set to leave.
Alexis Sanchez Likely Out Two Weeks with an Abdominal Injury
He had a scan two days ago and he's out for a while I don't know is it two weeks or one more week but he will not be available. Sanchez, whose current deal expires in 2018, did not play in Arsenal's victory over Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday.
Quoted by The Belfast Telegraph, Mourinho said: "We didn't accept Arsenal's offer for Demba Ba because the signing of Ozil makes them title contenders".
Left-back Danny Rose has also been linked with a move away from Spurs after he questioned the club's pay structure and ability to compete with other top clubs in the transfer market.
"Time is running out and I do want to win trophies".
"I don't see much opportunity for Martial, I think he might have to be squeezed out". The player scored 8 goals in 42 appearances last term, and will hope to better the statistic this season.
