Newspaper: China should stay neutral if N. Korea fires first on US

Little comment from Moscow about the confrontation between the USA and North Korea.

An editorial by USA -based North Korea monitoring Web site "38 North" says US media deserves a share of blame for the recent escalation of tensions between the USA and North Korea. "If the USA and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula، China will prevent them from doing so،" the article said. North Korea has always viewed the training as preparation for an invasion.

"At the same time, if the United States strikes first and starts war on the Korean Peninsula, China and other countries, including Russia, Japan and South Korea, will be against it".

Washington-based think tank C4ADS says that Pyongyang is "far from being isolated, (and) is globally active through its overseas networks", which are helping to raise the funds and materials the country needs for its weapons programmes.

Begging China and Russian Federation to rescue the USA from nuclear North Korea plays right into their hands by messaging our allies that the United States is helpless, that real power over North Korea is not in Washington, but in Beijing and Moscow. This way leads to global nuclear war, or to global surrender by the West, and a new world order dominated by Russia, China, North Korea and Iran.

"The message clearly says that Beijing will punish anyone who will escalate tensions on the Korean Peninsula", Asmolov pointed out.

The AP is also reporting a Virginia state helicopter crash that killed two people near Charlottesville was related to the rally. The Washington Post reported that the silver 2010 Dodge Challenger involved in the crash was registered to Fields.

LANKOV: If North Korea is not sanctioned, it will appear as if the nuclear powers, including Russian Federation and China, are sort of condoning the North Korean attempts to develop nuclear weapons and undermines the nonproliferation regime. In return, they said, the US should halt its military exercises with South Korea.

The United States to protect itself and maintain global credibility has little choice but to make a disarming strike, at least against the two North Korean satellites, that might be nuclear-armed for EMP attack, orbiting over the US, and against the dozen North Korean road-mobile ICBMs now deployed.

North Korea has been under United Nations sanctions since 2006 over in order to curtail Pyongyang's ballistic missile and nuclear programmes.

Tensions around the Korean Peninsula started to rise in light of the implementation of the North Korean missile program.

Since years, North Korea has been surviving with the support of US' direct rival, China. North Korea's threat on July 8 to make a nuclear strike on Guam indicates they understand the concept of limited nuclear operations and surgical strikes.
