An soldier was killed and four others injured on Saturday in an ongoing gunfight between the security forces and militants holed-up in a village in Kashmir's Shopian district, officials said. Sources in the police said that three militants were believed to be trapped in residential houses in Astan Mohalla of the village. As per reports 12 persons were injured during the clashes near the encounter site. It is a joint operation by the security forces involving 14 battalion of CRPF, 3 RR and Special Operation Group, Zenapora. "Once the operation is over, we can give the details of the militants", he said.
