Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Release Still Unconfirmed, Platform "Excites" Take Two


This statement came from Strauss Zelnick on July 25, and today their earnings drop another strong indication that GTA Online is here to stay and there is a possibility that the same model will get implemented in the future Rockstar Games (Red Dead Redemption 2 and others).

During Take-Two Interactive Software's financial conference call related to the first quarter of fiscal year 2018, President Karl Slatoff talked about the publisher's stance on PC as a platform.

"It really depends on the title". He noted that "some titles are actually heavily weighted to PC, for example, Civilization and XCOM, (but) some titles are less weighted to PC".

Admitting a lot of facts based on sales trends and support rendered by PC gamers, Take Two head said that throughout the years they have seen enormous support from players on the platform. They are much ahead in terms of adopting newer technologies and are also digitally driven that takes off issues caused by sellers or third parties. So isn't Red Dead Redemption 2 capitalizing on that when it launches? So for Take-Two as a company the PC market is "very important and very exciting" and something they "focus on".
