Ark: Survival Evolved delayed on the verge of release

Despite the delay, pre-orders for the game have been extended giving fans the chance to grab the base game as well as the various special editions also on sale, including one which costs $159.99.

The process of going gold seems to have taken "a little longer than expected" as per the developer. A $160 collector's edition also comes with a cloth map of the game's world, a poster of the development team, a soundtrack, a necklace, and a handcrafted leather-bound Explorer's Notebook. However, Studio Wildcard gave fans assurance that it the wait will be worth it.

This much bigger update for Ark: Survival Evolved will add new biomes, engrams, a Wyvern canyon on the coast, a new boss and the ability to transfer custom creatures from Ragnorak over to The Island, The Center, and Scorched Earth via the CrossARK system.

Back in June, Studio Wildcard announced that Ark: Survival Evolved would be leaving Steam Early Access on August 8th. The plans for said versions include immediate patches to address community concerns and some mid-month goals. It's going to be a hectic few weeks ahead, and we're very excited!

Google ads "shopper tracking" may get a close look from the FTC
EPIC said it's even more troubling that Google hasn't revealed how it "deidentifies" consumers when it tracks their purchases . The system matches transactions back to Google ads, which Google said was done in a "secure and privacy-safe way".

The free DLC, Ragnarock, that's planned for the game will also be pushed back to the same date, but they say that they delay will allow them to devote more time to the DLC's map that'll be increased by around a quarter of its current size.

Studio Wildcard previously encountered a different issue with the game.

Between now and launch, Wildcard are getting to work on a plethora of game elements including PC optimisations, bug-fixes and tighter online security, as well as addressing the difficulty balance for the game's bosses, which have been causing problem's for the early access community. We really really at the outset wanted to have this be a retail launch, have this game reach retail consumers.

Are you going to be grabbing ARK: Survival Evolved when it launches later this month?
