The 18-wheeler transporting the farm animals crashed into a center median around 6.30am while driving on Interstate 45 in Wilmer.

The crash involved two 18-wheelers and a auto.

Commenting on the new challenging requirements, Kelly said: "We can not play global whack-a-mole with each new threat". These include a ban on electronic devices on their flights, or a total suspension of flights to the US.

Police are still trying to figure out what caused the accident and were unable to confirm if any pigs were seriously injured. No one in the other semi or the vehicle was injured either. "We had a total of 195 [on the semi]".

Wilmer police asked for help from the Dallas County Sheriff's Department livestock unit.

Footage showed some of them trotting beside traffic before they were corralled. They also call a hazardous materials crew to the scene to handle the injured and dead animals.
