Fourth of July events around Northern Michigan

Cruise aboard the M/S Mount Washington on the Fireworks Dinner Dance Cruise and take in the magic of the lake on the night of the fourth.

Kingston has its Smokin' the Water Fourth of July Festival with fireworks over Watts Bar Lake.

At noon there will be live music, food, and craft vendors on the town green. Small boats light up the lake while waiting for the fireworks, and cast a handsome glow on the water.

Hamilton Township - Fireworks will start at about 9 p.m at Veterans Park.

Greenville kick-offs Independence Day with their 5th annual "American Downtown" event with a parade at 2 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 9 p.m. Constitution Park is located on Long Sands Road in Center Ossipee. The show starts at 8 p.m., and a fireworks show will follow.

The City of Rockville's free July 4 celebration returns to Stepanek Park in King Farm for the second straight year. For more information, visit

Additionally, Independence Day presents the largest fire danger compared to other holidays. The event will include live music, kid's activities, vendors and much more!

LIRR: Trains delayed by track condition, overnight fire
After arriving at Hunterspoint Avenue station, rider Marisa Baglio, 38, of Bayshore said, "It's frustrating". The MTA initially said it was a track issue, then specified it was a problem with the third rail.

The spectacular will take place at the Bretton Woods Ski Area and Adventure Center and feature bouncy houses (fun for ALL ages), cook-outs (also fun for all ages), and a music performance by The Crunchy Western Boys leading up to the fireworks display. The fireworks are launched from the East End Mooring Basin over the Columbia River and the show begins at dark.

Head over to 50th Street Beach at 9 p.m. for the 4th of July fireworks in Sea Isle.

Lava Hot Springs will have a fireworks show July 4 on Fireworks Hill. The Kingsburg celebration is sponsored by the Kingsburg Chamber of Commerce.

At 7, Mary J. Blige highlights the outdoor concert, followed by the Grand Finale fireworks at 9:30.

The lineup of live music on the park's bandstand will feature Jake Hoult & the Band, 12:30-2 p.m.; The Garrett Biggs Band, 3:15-5:15 p.m.; and Sister Kate, 7-9 p.m.

Louisville is definitely not in Southern Indiana but you can see it from here, and the city is putting on a fireworks show along the waterfront on Tuesday, July 4.
