Serena Williams fires back at McEnroe for snarky 'No. 700' comment


Tennis great John McEnroe was on NPR the other day and was careful to qualify that Williams is one of the greatest female tennis players ever.

Describing her reaction, the 35-year-old said: "Oh my God, this can't be - I've got to play a tournament". Am I having a baby?

"For me, men's tennis and women's tennis are completely, almost, two separate sports", Williams said.

McEnroe's ranking received a tweet from Williams telling him to keep her out of his "statements that are not factually based".
